Finn Wagstaff is a writer, improviser, director, and all-around comedic multi-hyphenate. Finn is currently freelancing in Los Angeles, focusing on production and development of comedy for film and television.
As a writer, Finn has his eye laser-focused on all things comedy. He recently graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Comedic Arts and a minor in Global and PostColonial Studies. While at Emerson, he was the president of the long-form improv troupe Swomo as well as the Head Writer of the 39th annual EVVY Awards. In May, 2021, Finn won the Emerson EVVY Award for Outstanding Writing for Film with his biopic about the legend of the drag queen Divine, Glenn vs. The Filthiest Woman Alive (currently optioned by Some Nerve Pictures). In addition to these positions, Finn also wrote and directed his own original material for the stage and screen with the help of Mercutio Troupe, RareWorks Theater Company, and Emerson Independent Video. During his senior year in the Emerson Los Angeles program, Finn completed internships with Mad Chance Productions, K&L Productions, and Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment.
Finn recently finished a gig at Abominable Pictures as an Office PA on their new movie “I Love America” as well as on the new Netflix series “Murdertown”. In addition to taking on physical tasks, Finn is also proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and TikTok production.
When he’s not working, he can be found exploring LA, writing and performing original comedy, watching docuseries about charismatic female cult leaders, and vintage shopping.
